In mediating between science and society, we are increasingly realizing that the innovative achievements of Swiss engineers should be better known in companies and that they can also be better appreciated in society.
In order to make the innovative strength of Swiss engineers more visible and recognized, we have created an SGVC Industry Award with the following intentions:
- Promotion and recognition of process and chemical engineering innovations in industry
- Appreciation for process and chemical engineers in the industry
Drawing attention to the innovative strength of our profession - Recognition and promotion of our profession in industry and society
The prize will be awarded every 2 years from the beginning of 2022 to the best application within the last 24 months. It is endowed with CHF 10,000 for individuals and CHF 20,000 for groups. You can find the relevant regulations under >>Downloads<<.

Award winner 2024
Jan Praduhn and his team (Willy Bachofen AG)
In June 2024, the SGVC awarded the SGVC Industry Prize, endowed with CHF 20,000, for the first time. The winner is Mr. Jan Praduhn and his team (Willy Bachofen AG) for the innovation of an inductively heated agitator bead mill for use as a continuous synthesis reactor.
