In the frame of the process development lecture, the chemical engineering master's students at EPFL are working hard this semester to design plants for producing major commodity chemicals completely from renewable materials and energy. This is an extremely challenging task posed to these students in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic and they are performing admirably. The challenge this year has been to develop processes for decarbonised chemical products.
To showcase the results of their work, we invite you to a conference presented by these 12 project groups who are talented and motivated chemical engineering students eager to express the knowledge they have gained and results of their projects and the full process designs that they have accomplished this semester.
The projects will be presented by webinar on May 31, starting at 8:20 in the morning with a short introduction to the agenda and then directly into the renewable process design projects, following the attached agenda. There will be opportunities for you to ask questions to the students after each presentation. The presentations will all be made in English.
